The International Workshop on Relexor Ferroelectrics (IWRF) aims at providing a forum to present and discuss the state-of-the-art developments in relaxor ferroelectrics and related materials, with emphasis on the analysis, theory and modeling, and interpretations of the relaxor ferroelectricity and related phenomena, in order to gain a better understanding of the relationship between the nano-structures and macroscopic properties of relaxors, and to design and synthesize novel relaxor ferroelectric materials of high-performance for technological applications.
The previous events of IWRFs were held in Xi'an, China (2011), Schloss Edesheim, Germany (2012), St. Petersburg, Russia (2013), Prague, Czech Republic (2014), Matsue, Japan (2016), Vancouver, Canada (2018) and Vilnius, Lithuania (2022). This year's workshop, IWRF-2024, will be held in Shanghai during October 25-29, 2024. It will be jointly hosted by the Electronic Materials Research Laboratory/International Center for Dielectric Research of Xian Jiaotong University and Shanghai Institute of Ceramics.
Shanghai is the largest commercial, financial, trade, and maritime city in China. It is also one of the largest cities with the advanced technology, education, and the culture named Shanghai-style culture, which is mixed of the traditional Southeast Chinese and modern western world culture. Shanghai used to be a big industrial city in China, and is becoming one of biggest trade centers in Asia.
The IWRF-2024 workshop will take place in the meeting room of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics. The accommodation will be arranged in nearby hotels. The technical program consists of invited talks and contributed presentations. The Proceedings of the Workshop, will be published in theJournal of Advanced Dielectrics (JAD)as a special issue. We look forward to seeing you in Shanghai.
Sincerely,
Xiaoyong Wei Professor Xi'an Jiaotong University, China |
Guorong Li Professor Shanghai Institute of Ceramics,CAS, China |
